Julie Perreault  AuD

Dr. Perreault earned her Master’s degree in Audiology from the University of Minnesota and her Doctoral degree in Audiology from the University of Florida. She has over 30 years of experience in testing and fitting amplification devices and enjoys working with patients of all ages.

She started working out of her home in Rush City repairing and fitting hearing instruments in 1983 while raising her family and continuing her educational training. Dr. Perreault is a past president of the Minnesota Academy of Audiology and the 2004 recipient of the Minnesota Academy of Audiology award for her contributions to the profession of Audiology.

Dr. Perreault’s personal message to her past, current and future patients: “I’m very fortunate in that I love my work. Quite honestly, it’s more a calling than a job. Nothing feels better to me than to recieve comments like: “It’s wonderful to hear the birds sing again,” or “Now we can turn the TV volume down,” or “I don’t have to yell or repeat myself to him/her and we have fewer misunderstandings.” Long term, I’m most concerned about you and your ability to connect with others. Communication is at the heart of all we do and feel.

Untreated hearing loss can be a contributing cause of dementia, social isolation and depression. There is no good reason to put off getting your hearing evaluated and obtaining help for your hearing.” Dr. Perreault sees patients in Mora and in Pine City.

She has been the Audiologist at FirstLight in Mora, formally the Mora Medical Center since 1995.
